He pulls the covers up over his head when the light from the halls fills into the darkness of his room. He did not hear the question. So he does not acknowledge it was asked of him. He only knows he needs the comfort of the dark tonight. He does not have the strength or will to even move. His head is hurting from the noises the street below. His heart is racing. If he was mortal he would feel clammy but he is not so instead feels the coldness drift through his veins. He does not know why he is depressed nor does he really dwell upon it. He just accepts the melancholy like an old friend.

Why the melancholy always finds him he does not know. He is sure he deserves it as it seems to be his best friend lately. Guilty thoughts zoom in and out of his mind. He knows everyone only tolerates him. He has always been broken and can feel the weight of every year he has been alive on his shoulders. The weight holding him down in his bed.

He shivers as he burrows under the safety of the blankets. I am just another dead thing, he thinks, this is where I belong. It is what I deserve. I deserve to be alone and isolated. He feels lightheaded from lack of feeding the past few nights. He enjoys the feeling as much as he hates it. A kind of high in his low period. Denying himself what he needs most- blood. He does not have the energy to open his mouth, even if he had heard them speaking over his chaotic thoughts. He used all his strength when he hid himself from the light. Times like these the light is his enemy. He needs this dark. He shivers then stills wishing the world would shut up. His hands covers his ears. He can still hear it all now. He hates this modern world. He scoots deeper into his soft bed ignoring the world.

Requested: Louis/Armand, Angst

Type: Drabble for VC Secret Gift for damagedxmachine

He had always wondered what was underneath the lace cravats and silk shirts this pretty gentleman used to wear. When Louis came to him changed now willing to live with him as they never had before, he was surprised to say the least. He was happy. After all these years someone had chosen him, without artifice or prompting from his mind. Someone he loved finally wanted him as he wanted them.

He found it hard not to cry the first time their souls intertwined in their passionate embrace. He closed his eyes remembering the way Louis’ lips slowly and gently brushed his lips to Armand’s teasingly his hands lightly caressing auburn curls. The kiss had held a promise of things to come later that evening once he was settled in. So much feeling in one brief, gentle touch.

He thought back to their first night in Trinity Gate when he had unwrapped Louis like a package. So respectful was his gentleman friend. What made Louis beautiful was he saw the soul of a person, not their outward appearance. He respected him as his elder, something Marius never considered. Louis treated him with respect. How respectful was his Louis of his insecurities? He never once made him feel less than he was but as a man should. His mind drifted on their first blood kiss. It drifted once again touching briefly on their time spent as a lovers and as a family as his mind quickly flashed though their brief twenty years.

This last kiss they had shared moments ago was bittersweet. Louis was not leaving because he wanted to but because he was needed. The golden blond brat wanted him and he was the core. It did not matter to Lestat that he was ripping apart a family. What Lestat needed he would get, for now. His happiness was paramount as the fount. They could take no chances with their Prince. Sacrifices were to be made on both their parts until a solution could be found.

Red blood tears dripped down Armand’s face as he watched Louis get into the chauffeured town car. Louis turned kissing his palm then he blew on it sending his love to him one last time his eyes red rimmed with unshed tears. Oh so human, his Louis, he thought as he watched him moving forward into an uncertain future. Until we meet again, amore mio, he thought as he stepped into the oh so empty house alone.

Prompts: May Force Awaken Forth/Fourth (all 5 used)

“Awaken, mon amour.” Lestat said softly to himself as if he were willing Louis to live.
David could barely hear the words even though Lestat was standing beside him. David had spilt at least a fourth of his blood supply onto Louis’ ashes to help Lestat bring him back to life. David thought it may work as he continued to spill his blood over him. He finally saw that both his and Lestat’s blood working on the ashes. Their blood was turning the ashes to tissue and bones it was miraculously reforming itself before their eyes.
“Merrick you need to spill your blood if we are to bring him back to life.” Lestat said with some force in his voice.
He saw Merrick bite her wrist then she quietly started spilling her blood back and forth over the tissue and bone. The ashes that had turned into flesh and bone began knitting together reshaping Louis’ body. David was fascinated to see the regenerative powers of their blood. He would not have thought this would be possible. Finally, he saw Louis’ eyes blink and open emerald green but brighter now. Louis was in now in one piece, he sat up looking dazed and confused. There was not a blemish on him as he stared at the three of us.
“Come, my love.” He heard Lestat murmur to Louis helping him from the coffin. Lestat lead him into the townhouse satisfied that they had succeeded.
